Review:

I love this workout! I planned on doing 10 days at each level but I got stuck on level 2 for nearly 20 days! It's hard as sh*t! But out of all of the home workouts I've done including Slim in 6 and Jackie Warner's Circuit Training amongst many others...this is by far my favorite. The routines are fun but mega challenging for any fitness level and most importantly Jillian isn't corny and is very relatable. I feel like a total badass when I do this workout! Fair warning, it's hard on the knees with all of the jumping moves and squats. Form is everything.

After completing 1 full round of 30DS, I decided to take a couple of weeks "off" and I did level 1 a few times last week and level 2 a few times this week. I'm looking forward to starting all over again soon!

Review:
Loved this DVD too! The circuits at first seem kind of dumb and very awkward, but sure enough after just a few days on a level it will all make sense and your body is begging for mercy and crying tears of joy simultaneously. Jillian incorporates several yoga poses into this one and does a corny pep talk during shavasana at the end of Level 4, but even though I don't like the way she crammed it into this DVD it still got me to my goal so I will forgive her for it...this time! All in all, I highly recommend this DVD and will definitely be doing it again at some point I'm sure. It was super fun and crazy challenging and my ass is looking great!

MyFitnessPal - Counting calories has seriously changed my eating habits and it's super easy to do with this app! You can scan in anything with a barcode. Thank you technology!

Run5K

A few times in the last 10 years I fell into jogging and really enjoyed it but it never stuck. This time around I jumped on the Couch25K bandwagon except I found the Run5K app and loved the interface much better! I'm currently 75% of the way through the program (8/18/12) and I'm signed up to run the Color Me Rad 5K on September 8th!

UPDATE: I finished it! I completed the app on 9/5/12 and kicked some major tail at the race!

endomondo - I use the endomondo app to track all of my runs.

BGR! - I've also linked up with the Black Girls Run group in my area and even though I've only been to 1 group run, I'm excited to run with them more! No excuses!

Ashtanga Yoga - I really like this DVD as an Intro to Ashtanga Yoga. The commentary is perfectly simple and it's a really basic guided Primary series. However, I barely make it through the standing poses. Gotta work on that! LOL
